Draw the street you would rather have.
Type an address, trace one line down the road, and StreetShape builds everything under it to scale — lanes, bike tracks, crossings, curbs and trees, on the real map.
Works on any street on Earth. No CAD, no account to begin.
from typing an address to a finished street
is the whole of what you draw by hand
any street on Earth, over the real map
Why StreetShape
You bring the idea. The geometry is our problem.
Choose what kind of street you want, click from one end of the block to the other, and everything underneath the line is generated at true scale over the real map.
No toolbox to learn first: there are no layers, no snapping and no pen tool. A single line is the whole drawing gesture.
Measured, not sketched: every width is a real number, in meters or feet, checked against the map underneath it.
Large enough to print: exports run to 7680 pixels, which covers a display board, a newsletter and a planning response.
In the editor
Nothing you draw is settled until you say it is.
Street type, lane count, the width of a single bike track — change any one of them and everything downstream is rebuilt in place rather than redrawn by you.
Intersections keep up: cross a second road and the junction assembles itself, stop lines and corner radii already right.
Swap the preset, keep the line: trade a quiet residential street for a protected bike street without redrawing the alignment.
Pick the ground you argue on: streets, satellite or terrain underneath, whichever makes the point you are making.
How it works
Three steps, and you only do the first two.
- placeholder — search results over the real map
Find the street
Search any address on Earth. The real map loads underneath it, in streets, satellite or terrain.
- placeholder — a street drawn end to end
Draw one line
Pick a preset — quiet residential, protected bike street, four-lane avenue — then click from one end of the block to the other. Every lane, curb, marking and sidewalk is generated from it.
- placeholder — a junction rebuilding itself
Let the junctions assemble
Where your street meets another, the intersection appears with its crossings, stop lines and corner radii already correct. Change the lane count and it rebuilds.
One line in. A whole street out.
Everything below arrives with the preset you picked, placed to scale. None of it is put there by hand.
Presets, not primitives
Say what kind of street it is and click end to end. The drawing tools you would otherwise have to learn do not exist here.
Every width is a real width
Measured against the map underneath. Change a lane count and the cross-section rebuilds around it.
Junctions that assemble themselves
Crossings, stop lines and corner radii turn up already correct wherever two of your roads meet.
Generated, not drawn
Each element of the cross-section comes with the preset, positioned to scale and editable afterwards. You never place a curb yourself.
Export big
Print it on a board, post it, or attach it to a consultation response.
Streets that have already been redrawn.
Each of these started as a search box and one line. Exported at full size and posted exactly as it came out.

The street outside your door
Redraw the junction you cross every morning the way it should have been built in the first place. Free, and yours to post wherever you like.
